Description

No. 316 is a house located on High Street, dating from the early to mid-17th century, with 19th-century windows. The building is timber framed, with plaster and mainly roughcast rendering, and features a half-hipped roof that is now covered with asbestos tiles. It is a single range structure with a gable end facing the road and stands two storeys tall, with a front floor that jetties out.

On the gable end, there is one 19th-century horizontal sliding sash window with small panes, positioned above a 19th-century boxed jetty beam supported by two original jetty brackets, each of which is carved on the outer side. The ground floor has two 19th-century windows: one is a shuttered horizontal sliding sash, and the other has fixed lights, along with a boarded door. The interior has not been seen.
