Description
No. 324 High Street is a house dating from the early 18th century, with only minor alterations from the 19th century. It is built of red brick and features a plain tiled roof, with tumbled gable end parapets supported by kneelers and a dentil eaves cornice. There is a stack located at the junction of the front range and a lower service wing at the rear. The house has two storeys and attics, with two 20th-century dormers. A plain band of three bricks runs along the building. The front has a range of three flush frame hung sashes, each with twelve panes, dating from the 19th century and set in their original openings. The central doorway features a partly obscured early 19th-century pedimented doorcase, with the pediment cornice resting on scroll console brackets. To the right, there is a late 19th-century canted bay. The interior has not been seen.
