Description

The Dairy at Park Farm, located about half a mile northeast of Wimpole Hall, is a dairy and dairy cottage built in 1862. It is constructed from gault brick with limestone dressings and features slate roofs, with an octagonal shape over the churn house. The building has end stacks, each with two octagonal shafts set on a rectangular base. The layout includes a cottage range with an octagonal churn house on the west side and an entry porch on the west side of the churn house.

The gabled porch is adorned with pierced bargeboarding and features a doorway with a four-centred arch in a square head, complete with a label and male and female mask stops. The original door and iron furniture remain intact. The structure is single-storey and has a large cross-frame casement window with an ovolo transom and mullions, along with iron diamond lights on each of its four sides. The cottage range includes smaller casement windows with labels and return stops across two storeys.

Inside, the churn house boasts a vaulted ceiling with ribs that spring from foliate corbels, and the walls are tiled.
