Description

This cottage, dating from the 18th century, is located 20 yards northeast of Pond Cottage in Abbots Ripton. It is timber framed, rendered, and has a pantiled roof. The cottage features an end stack made of red brick, which has been repaired. It consists of two bays and is one storey high with attics. On the northwest side wall, there are two modern wood casement windows, and there is a doorway in the gable end. Inside, the cottage has exposed framing that displays long straight downward bracing and a small 18th-century red brick hearth. The building is included for its group value.
