Description
Manor Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th and 18th centuries that has been renovated. It features a timber frame, is rendered, and has weatherboarding at the south end. The roof is thatched with reed and has two ridge and eaves levels. There is a 19th-century ridge stack that likely replaces an older stack, along with a projecting end stack that has two flues. The building has three different construction periods and forms a T-plan. The two-storey north range includes two modern wood casements on both the first and ground floors. The south range consists of one bay, is one storey with an attic, and has one boxed dormer along with ground floor casements. There is a rear kitchen wing that is timber framed, rendered, and thatched, which has been extended at the back. Inside, the 19th-century hearths and chimney may have replaced the original ones. The wall frame remains intact, although the roof has been rebuilt following a fire.
