Description
Infields is a cottage dating from the 18th century, with alterations and an addition from the 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a red pantiled roof. The building has parapet gables with end stacks and is one storey high, with an attic and a single storey gable extension to the east. The main entrance is on the south side, featuring a central boarded door and a gabled wooden porch. There are horizontal sliding sash windows on both sides of the entrance, and large central dormer windows with sloping roofs. Inside, the cottage has an exposed floor frame and an open hearth. The estate map for William Wells from 1770 shows the building's historical context.
