Description
Brook Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame that is plastered, along with painted brick elements. The cottage has a thatched half-hipped roof, which includes a plastered ridge stack located to the right of the center. To the right side, there is a lower range that is also plastered. The building is one storey with an attic, and the former entrance has been sealed. It has four 20th-century casement dormer windows and one bay window, as well as two eyebrow dormer windows. Historical maps from 1613 and 1770 provide context for the property, showing its significance within the Manor of Glatton.
