Description

Nos. 6A and 6B on The Pavement are 18th-century buildings that were originally one house. They stand three stories tall with attics and feature a timber-framed and plastered construction topped with a tiled roof. The buildings have a band below the second-floor windows and a moulded and dentilled cornice at the eaves. The exterior includes rusticated quoins and four windows, two of which are blocked on the second floor, with some lacking glazing bars. The shop fronts date from the late 19th century. These buildings are part of a group that includes the Corn Exchange and Nos. 5 to 10 (consecutive) and No. 12.
