Description

6 The Pavement is a building that was formerly known as the Three Horseshoes Tavern. It dates from the 18th century and has been altered over time. The structure is two storeys tall with attics, constructed from gault brick with red brick dressings, and features a tiled mansard roof. There are three windows on the upper floor, with the middle window having a semi-circular head, modern frames, and lead glazing. The building also has two flat-topped dormers. The ground floor has a modern shop front. This building is part of a group that includes the Corn Exchange and Nos. 5 to 10 (consecutive) and No. 12.
