Description

This building, comprised of numbers 5 and 5A, dates to the earlier 19th century and has been altered since its original construction. It is three storeys high with two windows. The building has a stated gable roof and is constructed of painted brick with rusticated stucco dressings. A stucco dentil cornice runs along the top. The windows are square-headed with architraves, and those on the first floor have pediments. The ground floor has been altered with a modern shop front. The building is included on the list for its group value, forming part of a group with The Corn Exchange (numbers 5 to 10 inclusive) and number 12.
