Description

The Globe Garage was originally the Globe Inn, which possibly dates back to the 17th century. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior with a plain tile roof. The building has an end stack to the south and a ridge stack. It is one storey high with an attic and has a three-unit plan. There is one casement dormer window on the north-east side. The garage includes two large projecting five-sided bay windows that have fixed lights with glazing bars and plain tile roofs. A central doorway is set within a flat-roofed porch that also has fixed lights with glazing bars. Inside, the garage has boxed ceiling beams and a sealed inglenook hearth.
