Description

This is a 17th-century house with a cross-wing to the northwest, altered and extended in the 19th century. It is a single-story building with attics. The house has a timber frame, now covered with plaster, and steeply pitched slate roofs featuring decorative 19th-century ridge tiles. A tall central chimney stack and two 19th-century chimney stacks are present. A single-story, gault brick lean-to runs parallel to the street, returning with a hipped roof to the northwest of the cross-wing, and has dentil brick eaves cornices. It has one attic casement window in the cross-wing gable and three casement windows in the lean-to. The main entrance has a gabled canopy facing southeast. Inside, the original plan of the 17th-century house is visible, with inserted partitions. The timber frame remains intact at the first floor, and original side purlin roofs, stop-chamfered ceiling beams, and a sealed inglenook hearth are present.
