Description

Ouse Cottage is a pair of adjoining cottages from the 17th century, located on Wellington Street. The buildings are two storeys high, constructed of brick with a pebble-dash finish facing the street, and feature tiled mansard roofs. Vertical cement pilaster strips and bands are present between the storeys and below the eaves. There is a small extension at the east end of Ouse Cottage. The doorways have been altered, and Ouse Cottage includes a round-arched window on the first floor with radial glazing bars. Ouse Cottage, along with Jersey Cottage, the Oliver Cromwell Inn, and No. 10, forms a cohesive group of buildings.
