Description

The Church of St Peter is a parish church built in 1880 by T. H. Wyatt. It features rock-faced stone with dressed stone used for the doors and windows, and has tiled roofs. The church is designed in the Early English style and includes a north-west porch tower with a spire, a nave, north and south aisles, a chancel, and a south porch. The three-stage north-west tower has a gabled porch at the ground level and is topped by an octagonal fourth stage with an ashlared spire. The windows display plate tracery, including a rose window at the west end. Inside, the nave arcade consists of four bays with two-centred arches supported by short round columns that have crocketted capitals.
