Description
Lloyds Bank is a house that has been converted into a bank, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of gault brick in Flemish bond and features a parapetted slate roof with end stacks. The building is double pile, two storeys high with an attic. The facade consists of five bays, including a slightly recessed central bay. There are plain stone bands at the eaves height and between the storeys, which return as a brick band on the sides. The attic storey has 20th-century windows in the original openings, while the first floor features twelve-pane hung sash windows that are possibly original. The ground floor facade was remodelled in the 20th century. The side elevation includes a round-headed arch leading to a tall recessed bay, with a similar arch for the doorway, which has an original raised and fielded panelled door and a stairlight hung sash above. This building is included for its group value.
