Description
13 Market Place and 1 Market Street are two shops dating from the early 19th century, constructed from local brown brick. The building has three storeys and features two bays on the left side, with a corner shop that includes three bays, one of which has a window on the rounded corner, and two bays facing Market Street. The first and second floors have nine-paned recessed hung sash windows set in cambered gauged red brick arches with stone cills, while the rounded corners have painted blind windows. The parapet and band above the ground floor shops have been recently rebuilt in yellow brick. The ground floor has modern shop windows and doors.
