Angles Theatre Workshop

Angles Theatre Workshop was originally built as a library around 1840. It is constructed of grey gault brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building is two storeys tall, with single storey wings that project towards the street, which may have been added later. The main symmetrical block displays plaster giant pilasters with a Greek fret pattern. A modern porch obscures the entrance, which has an architraved moulded stone doorcase with double doors. The eaves are deep and boarded. On the first floor, there are five four-paned windows with segmental brick arches and stone cills. The ground floor has four fixed-light windows with sixteen panes each, set in cambered, gauged brick arches with stone cills. The two flanking wings, which have gables facing the street, each contain three-light windows with glazing bars, segmental heads, and stone cills. The internal side elevations feature entrances and windows set in recessed brick panels.
