Description

This mid 19th-century corn barn is located to the rear of Number 79 on North Street in Burwell. It is constructed of painted clunch stone with brick quoins and decorative brick dressings, featuring a dentil brick eaves cornice. The barn has a half hipped, slated king post roof that spans five bays. At the rear, there is a central storage outshut. The east-facing side has full height boarded doors, along with ventilation slits and two gable owl holes. This barn is associated with 19th-century river trade and is situated with access to Burwell Lode.
