Description

Burwell Baptist Chapel is a chapel built after 1842. It features a gault brick entrance facade with painted clunch side walls and a hipped slate roof with boarded eaves. The building has three fixed light windows on the gallery floor, which are shaped to segmental brick arches and have stone cills and iron glazing bars. On the ground floor, two similar windows flank double half-glazed doors set in an elliptical brick arch. The interior remains intact, with a gallery on three sides that is accessed by two staircases. Notably, the late 19th-century patterned iron gallery balustrade adds to the chapel's character.
