Description
No 101 on North Street is a house that dates back to the late 16th century or early 17th century, with some rooms beyond the stack to the west possibly rebuilt in the 18th or early 19th century. The structure is timber-framed and covered in clunch plaster, topped with thatched roofs. On the east gable, there is a lozenge dated '1817 JC', which features imitation masonry joints. The house has one storey and an attic, with the south elevation displaying two casement dormer windows and three ground floor casement windows. Inside, there is an inglenook hearth and exposed chamfered ceiling beams. The original roof rafters can be seen on the east side, along with the exposed wall frame.
