Description
Briarwood is a house built in the early to mid 18th century. It features local variegated red and yellow bricks, with red brick details on the east facade including quoins, window and door jambs, and a chequered band between the floors. The property has a sawtooth eaves cornice and plain tile roofs with parapet gables and end stacks. It is two storeys high with three bays, attics, and a basement, along with a rear wing. The house has three hipped hung sash dormer windows and three twelve-paned hung sash windows on both the first and ground floors, all set in segmental arches. The entrance includes a 19th-century six-panelled door in a segmental arch. Inside, there are 18th-century details such as the staircase and doors that flank the chimney pieces.
