Description

No. 2 Church Lane is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling. They date from the early 19th century and are constructed of gault brick in Flemish bond, with the west gable end rendered. The roof is plain tiled and features a flush west gable end stack. The building is one storey with an attic, and it has two gable dormers that contain 19th-century wooden casements. Each cottage originally had a three-light wooden casement window set in a cambered arch, along with a doorway. The doorway of the right-hand cottage is now partly blocked. This building may be associated with The Limes on High Street and is included for its group value.
