Description
The building is a mid-19th century malthouse made of buff-colored brick. It has two storeys and attics, with a seven-window range featuring fixed lights. A central projecting weather-boarded loft hoist is present. The roof is covered with pantiles from the 20th century, while a long wing extends to the rear with a slate roof. This malthouse is part of a group that includes No 33, the Smithy at the rear, Nos 35 to 41 (consecutive), Nos 43 to 47 (odd), Nos 51 to 53 (consecutive), No 55, the house adjoining No 55, and Quayside House, as well as Nos 54 to 64 (even) Quayside.
