Description
Ley Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century. It features a plastered timber frame, modern brick foundations, and a reed thatched roof. The building has a three-unit plan with a lobby entry and is one storey high with an attic. A red brick ridge stack is located to the right of the centre. The exterior includes three casement dormer windows and three three-light ground floor casement windows, along with a modern oak door. Inside, there is a large inglenook hearth with niches and a salt cupboard, as well as a smaller hearth in the parlour. The interior also showcases exposed wall frames and floor frames, with stop-chamfered axial beams and bolted clamps to the studs.
