Description

No. 3 Pond Green is a cottage dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century, featuring a three-bay and lobby entry plan. The building is timber framed and currently weatherboarded, with a steeply pitched roof that was originally thatched but is now covered with corrugated iron. It has an original ridge stack and consists of one storey with attics. There are two gabled dormers and two 20th-century windows on either side of the doorway, which is located opposite the stack. To the front and right is a single-storey addition built around 1880, made of gault brick and topped with a slate roof. This addition includes two flush frame hung sashes, each with sixteen panes.
