Description

36 High Street is a cottage that dates back to the early 16th century and may have originally been an open hall with service and parlour ends. In the early 20th century, the roof was raised, and an additional storey was added. The ground floor walls are timber framed and plaster rendered on a brick sill. The roof is tiled and features a gault brick ridge stack. The building stands two storeys tall, with the line of the original eaves still visible between the storeys. There are four windows and a door, all of which are from the 20th century, although the doorway may be located where the original through passage once was.
