Description

No. 12 High Street is a cottage dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a small addition from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building is timber-framed, plaster rendered, and has a longstraw thatch roof with a 19th-century grey brick ridge stack. It features a three-bay layout with a lobby entry and a kitchen wing at the rear, which may be from the same period. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and includes one dormer. There are two windows, including a horizontal sliding sash, located on either side of the doorway to the lobby entry. To the right, there is a single bay addition that is plastered and has a longstraw thatch roof, likely from the 19th century.
