Description

MAID'S CAUSEWAY 1. 942 (South Side) Footway and iron railings stretching from the Short Street corner outside No 2 to No 70. TL 4558 NW 4/563 TL 4558 NE 5/563 II 2. Cobblestone slope with east-iron railings. The railings stretch only to No 62. This raised footway is the remains of the Banwell Causeway built under the will of Dr Perse, 1615. (RCHM Page 366).
