Description
The Green Dragon Inn at No 5 and Nos 7 to 11 on Water Street is a 16th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with a tiled roof and a projecting upper storey. The building underwent reconditioning in the 18th century, with all windows being hung or sliding sashes that include glazing bars. The entrance to the Inn at No 5 is flanked by 18th-century bay windows. There is a carriageway that runs the full height of the ground floor between Nos 7 to 11. No 5 retains an original central chimney stack, while the others have been rebuilt. Some interior features are also present.
