Description

Roebuck House, located at 28 Ferry Lane in Chesterton, is a 18th-century building that features a timber-framed structure with plaster and a tiled roof. The house has two storeys with attics and includes five windows. The doorway retains remnants of a modillioned cornice. There is an entrance gateway in the wall to Ferry Lane, which has a reset oak head dating from around 1500. This gateway is 4-centred and moulded, featuring two sub-arches, although some parts are missing, along with foliated apandrels. Inside, the house boasts several original features, including panelled doors and ceiling beams.
