Description

Ongar Hall is a 15th-century hall house featuring a crosswing. It is constructed of timber framing and plaster, topped with a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys, plus one storey in the attics. The first floor displays a two-window range with double hung vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars, while the ground floor has casement windows. There are two hipped dormers on the roof and a central chimney stack made of red brick from the 16th century. A modern porch has been added, along with two gabled extensions to the north.
