Description

Parkgate Farmhouse is a 15th-century hall house featuring a jettied cross wing on the east side. It is constructed from timber framing and plaster, topped with a red plain tile roof that has both hipped and gabled sections. The house has four windows, which include 19th-century casements and one modern casement. There is also a gabled dormer with a casement. A modern extension with a half hip and a chimney stack is located at the east end, along with a modern porch. The original 16th-century chimney stack remains intact. The roof slopes up on the west side with hipped ends. Inside, much of the frame is exposed, showcasing original doorways and window openings.
