Description
Pembroke House is a late 17th century to early 18th century house located on Cherry Orton Road in Orton Waterville. The building is constructed of painted coursed stone rubble and features a thatched roof with coped gable ends. It is one storey high with an attic, and includes two dormers at the eaves. The ground floor has three windows, with the dormers and ground floor sashes featuring glazing bars. There is a modern top-opening light window in the center of the ground floor. The house has ashlar end stacks with a drip course and brick tops. At the rear, there is a lower thatched roof wing that forms an L-shaped plan. Additionally, there is a mid-19th century brick addition at the south end, which has a painted rubble front and a Welsh slate roof, standing two storeys high with one window that has modern casements.
