Description
The Old Laundry, located to the southeast of Milton Hall, is a building dating from around 1700. Originally a brewhouse, it has been used as a laundry and is currently a flat. The structure is made of dressed stone and features a steeply pitched hipped roof covered with Collyweston stone. It has a moulded stone eaves cornice and a string course at floor level. The building stands two storeys tall with an attic and has five windows. The windows are wooden mullion transom casements fitted with leaded panes. There are double doors on the left and right sides, which have flush panels and rectangular fanlights above them. The roof includes two hipped dormers and there are ashlar ridge stacks with cornices. At the rear, there is a single-storey wing from the 17th or 18th century, which also has a Collyweston stone hipped roof, mullion and transom windows with leaded panes, and ashlar ridge stacks.
