Description
The orangery located to the south-east of the kitchen garden at Milton Hall dates from around 1791 and is likely designed by Sir William Chambers. It is constructed of ashlar and features a seven-bay colonnade supported by Roman Doric columns, with the outer columns being coupled. The structure has a balustraded parapet adorned with a pair of Coade stone figures dated 1791 and urns. Large sash windows with glazing bars are positioned between the columns, and there are glazed doors at the center. The roof is a glazed conservatory style. In front of the orangery, there is a terrace with steps that are flanked by Coade stone baskets of fruit.
