Description
The kitchen garden walls, gates, and gate piers located to the south-east of Milton Hall are likely from the late 18th century. They consist of brick and stone walls surrounding large rectangular enclosures. In the north-south enclosure, there is a doorway featuring gauged brickwork, a round arch with a keyblock, and a pediment. The south-west wall includes a pair of stone gate piers, dating from around 1820, which are pilastered with moulded caps and ball finials, along with ornate wrought iron gates that have an elaborate overthrow. Additionally, there is another pair of ashlar gate piers on the south side of this enclosure, which bear the coronet of the first Earl Fitzwilliam and also feature ball finials.
