Description
Number 16, Church Lane is a 18th-century house faced in yellow brick, with alterations made in the early to mid-19th century. The front section features a steeply pitched hipped slate roof, while a parallel range at the rear has stone coped gable ends. The front has two storeys and four bays, with sash windows that include glazing bars and flat brick arches; the left ground floor window is blocked. There is a central porch from the 19th century, which is stuccoed and supported by columns and pilasters that hold up an entablature. At the rear, there is a stone wing that dates from the 18th century or late 17th century, which has flush quoins and is one storey with an attic.
