Description
The boundary wall and gate piers to the south of the Churchyard of St John the Baptist date from the 17th or 18th century and later. The wall is constructed of stone rubble with saddle back brick coping in some areas and has been rebuilt in brick in parts, particularly on the south side. It forms the boundary wall on all four sides of the churchyard and extends southeast along Church Lane. There are small entrance gate piers located to the southeast, made of ashlar stone with moulded caps and a wrought iron overthrow. This structure is included for its group value.
