Description
Lampass Cross is located to the south of the church in the churchyard of St John the Baptist in Stanground. This is a Saxon cross that has been brought from elsewhere in the parish. It is much defaced, and the wheel head is incomplete. The cross features shoulder projections and has remains of carving that include small arcading and a geometrical pattern, specifically a circle with a saltire cross.
