Description

Number 125 is an early 19th-century house, originally built as an end of terrace property and altered during the 20th century before undergoing restoration in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick, with the third floor rebuilt using multi-coloured stock brick. The ground floor is finished with rusticated stucco. The house has four storeys and a basement, with three windows and a slightly recessed entrance bay. The doorway features flanking pilasters supporting an entablature, pilaster-jambs, a cornice-head, a fanlight, and a panelled door. The ground floor windows are round-arched with margin glazing and recessed sashes. The first-floor windows are set within shallow, round-arched recesses (except in the entrance bay) and have cast-iron balconies. A main stucco cornice runs at the level of the third floor, topped by a further stucco cornice and blocking course. The interior of the property was not inspected. Attached cast-iron railings are a notable subsidiary feature.
