Description

Figtree Villa is an early 19th-century house located on The Green in Glinton. It bears the inscription "AS" over "R 1837". The house is constructed of coursed stone with flush quoins and has a string course at floor level. The roof is low-pitched, covered with Collyweston stone, and has coped gable ends. It is two storeys high with three bays. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within keyblocked arches. The round-headed doorway features a keyblock, a semi-circular fanlight with radial glazing bars, a 6-panel door, and panelled reveals. Ashlar chimney stacks with cornices are located at each end of the building.
