Description

Stone Haven is a late 18th-century house located on The Green in Glinton. A tablet inscribed "LW 1796" is set into the east gable. The roof is of Collyweston stone with coped gabled ends. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with a three-window front. The first floor has three-light casement windows with glazing bars and wooden lintels. The ground floor features two late 19th-century stone bay windows, a central fielded panel door, and a late 19th-century stone porch. There are also two old hipped dormers with casements containing leaded panes. Brick chimney stacks are at each end. On the rear wall, a tablet is inscribed with the date "1616". A two-story stone wing extends to the west, with a lower pantile roof and late 18th or early 19th-century casement windows.
