Description

Mustay House is an early 19th-century house located on The Green in Olveston. The house is constructed of rubble, with a roughcast finish imitating ashlar, stone dressings, and a double Roman tiled roof with raised coped verges and kneelers. It has brick gable stacks. The front facade is symmetrical, featuring three windows to each floor. These are 12-pane sash windows, with stepped voussoirs, cills, and wider central panes. A central door has four panels and a fanlight with radial glazing bars, flanked by pilasters and an open pediment supported by brackets. Single-storey wings extend to either side, with walls that ramp down; these wings have parapets and copings. The wing to the right is blank, while the wing to the left contains a window matching those on the front, but without voussoirs, and a panelled and glass door. A single-storey lean-to extends from the rear.
