Description

Kingston Tydfil House is a pair of attached houses dating to the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The houses are constructed of rendered rubble with a pantiled roof, featuring a brick gable stack to the north and a central stack. Each house is two storeys high and originally had two windows. They now both have 2-light casement windows, except for a 3-light window on the ground floor right, and a 4-panelled central door. The rear of the houses has a catslide roof. There is a plank door in a plain frame, with windows to either side, and a single-storey extension. Kingston House's rear has single and 2-light casements with timber lintels to the windows, while Tydfil House's rear windows are 20th-century replacements. Inside Tydfil House is a winder staircase behind a plank and batten door with strap hinges, and a chamfered beam on the first floor. The interior of Kingston House is not accessible.
