Description

Dower House is an early 19th-century house located on Preston Oakham Road. It is constructed of stone, stucco, and ashlar with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. On the first floor, there are three sash windows, with a small central window flanked by two larger ones. An ashlar string course runs along the building. The ground floor features two sash windows on either side of the entrance, which is adorned with a portico supported by plain columns and pilasters, topped with a flat roof. The house also has ashlar quoins and two gable end ashlar stacks.
