Description
28 Main Street is a house that was formerly a range of cottages, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble and ashlar with a blue slate roof and has two storeys. The building features a variety of windows; on the first floor, there is one stone mullioned window flanked by two two-light wooden casements. The ground floor includes, from left to right, one two-light casement, a large window that has been altered from its original entry, one small casement with an ashlar lintel, one three-light mullioned window, and one three-light wooden casement with an ashlar lintel. The house has dressed quoins and features one central and one gable end brick chimney stack, along with stone coping.
