Description

8-14 Broadway is a mid-19th century building featuring two storeys constructed in ashlar with a Welsh slate roof, designed in a plain classical style. The end blocks of the building have open pediments with keystones and exhibit block rustication. The windows are arranged as three-light mullion windows. Above the springing line and in the centre section's entablature, the name of a tile firm is displayed. The centre section is distinguished by a cornice and a pediment, with windows arranged in a pattern of 2:3:2 lights. The ground floor has modern shop fronts and an obscured pilastered doorway leading to No 12, which also features a cornice.
