Description
7 and 8 Cheap Street is a 19th-century building constructed from limestone ashlar with a Welsh slate roof. It features a double-depth plan with rear windows on the upper floors only.
The exterior consists of three storeys, each with two windows. Modern shop-fronts are located on either side of a central entrance, which has a pediment above it. There is a sill band at the first floor level, and the windows are fitted with plain horned sashes surrounded by architrave with cornice heads. The second floor also has a sill band, with plain sashes framed by plain eared architraves. A cornice band runs along the top, leading to a parapet and a mansard roof that includes two flat-topped dormers. An ashlar stack with a pot is positioned against the wall of No. 9. The interior has not been inspected.
