Description
Number 10 in the Precincts of Peterborough is a building primarily from the 19th century, though it likely has an earlier origin. It stands two storeys high, constructed of ashlar with brick on the left side and topped with a slate roof. The gabled projecting wings feature a two-light window above a three-light window, both adorned with dripmoulds that have shield terminals. The centre of the building has three cables with moulding, and there are two sets of two-light windows below, which are leaded casements also featuring dripmoulds with shield terminals. One central light is blocked above the door, which is located to the side. The building has a plinth. It is part of a group that includes the Great Gate, the Chapel of St Thomas, the Archway to Dean's Court, and Nos 1 to 10, which are all consecutive.
