Description
The Bull Hotel is a late 18th-century building, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. It features colourwashed stone, some brick, and part roughcast, topped with a hipped stone slate roof that has overhanging eaves supported by paired modillions. The hotel is two storeys high with attics and has a plain band. There are seven hipped dormers with casement windows and nine windows with flat arches and double-hung sashes that do not have glazing bars. A carriage entrance is present, along with a modern doorway. The Bull Hotel Buttery is located to the left and is part of the same building, featuring two similar dormers. The ground floor is roughly rendered on brick, with a plinth. Two of the windows have been later adorned with moulded architraves that include a cornice and apron. The windows are flanked by two rendered labels that display the brewer's name. There are also two six-fielded doors.
